Performance Management

Pilot Explore is a planning and optimization platform that accurately models the frequency allocation scheme for your network, on any scale required. It automates key elements of the optimization process while implementing and illustrating any desired allocation scenario, simulated or actual.

The Explore software platform's functions are practical and varied, and include data acquisition & sharing, traffic analysis, uplink interference handling, MRT analysis, coverage overlap analysis, parameter management and neighbor cell optimization. It also simplifies the carrier expansion/reduction process through auto-generation of frequency data, based on collected & frequency evaluation, along with traffic volumes, GPRS application conditions and carrier expansion/reduction candidate tallies. Explore employs Measurement Report (MR) data, including BCCH & BSIC measurements and other Inter-Cell Interference Matrix (ICIM) elements, from a compatible network's operational support system, which is inherently faster and more accurate than what neighbor cell, data handover or frequency scanning data would enable.

Explore's key function is optimization, on the scale of a cell, station, region or network. Up to 80% of your optimization team's man hours may be spent on data collection, post-processing and report generation; Explore automates all three tasks, reducing the time involved from hours to minutes and giving your engineers time to inject a little creativity into the process. Explore's frequency allocation simulations allow decision makers to ask "what if?" and novices to learn their trade without consequence, while an optimal scheme, based on the available data, is automatically maintained at all times.

Explore has been designed from the ground up; the practical experiences and feedback from many optimization engineers have been utilized in every element of its design. It reduces the repetition, man hours and errors involved in optimization, freeing up your skilled engineers for more worthwhile activities, like building a better network.
